In an everlonging pandemic, citizens were forced to isolate within their homes in prevention of spreading the infection. Prolonging screams of agony echoed on nearby streets as flesh-eating beings roam the barren roads. The world we knew was no longer ours.Trapped within the confines of her own room, Soy's coping mechanisms would resort to streaming, illustrating, and playing video games to escape the occurrences in the real world, although nothing could silence the constant wails and cries for help online. As years passed, soon her neighbouring suburbs became completely overran, being the only person alive in her area to her knowledge. Cellular sites and the internet no longer worked, abruptly removing the only communication left. Life began feeling hopeless without her friends. Perhaps it was time to give up on this feeble lifestyle.Without a care left in the world, she suddenly heard cries of help from a familiar voice. They were calling her name. She forcibly dragged herself out of the bed and slammed open her door, rushing towards the entrance. Checking her window, she couldn't believe her eyes. Soy quickly pushed away the chair barricading the door and anxiously unlocks the door with her friend bursting through.It was from then on, Soy had a sense of hope in the living and set forth with her friend to find the others. Although it's been 2 years, they must be out there somewhere...

'Channie Penghua' is Soy's Vtuber persona. As my client, you agree to the following information that I have the right to:
Include the commissioned work in portfolios, online profile/pages. commission sheets, etc.
Claim the commissioned piece as my own work.
Modify, edit, and repurpose unpaid or cancelled commissioned pieces.
Livestream or document the drawing process on my social media unless an NDA is requested.
Blacklist any violators of the TOS.
Charge a surcharge if I deem fit.
Due to inexperience or offensive content, I will not draw:

Sexism, racism or any form of discrimination towards others.
Extreme kinks, gore or pornographic material.
Please provide references with a concise, but detailed character description (chosen colours, hairstyles, eye colours, etc.)It is prohibited to use my works in relation to crypto, NFT and AI related technologies.
Reuploading my work must either have my watermark visible or my user tagged in the post.Tagging @ChanniePenghua on any social media in which the commission is used, or link directing to my socials will suffice.
All payments are upfront through the VGen payment system or through bank transfer.Split payments such as 50/50 can be discussed.
The client will receive an update of every stage (sketch, flat colours, line-art, rendering, refinements) and can only request 1 revision per stage.Any major changes past the sketch phase will be declined - only minor adjustments.No more changes can be made once the commission is completed. I will not be taking charges as I expect clients to be prepared before they request a commission.
Specific deadlines will require agreement from both the client and the artist. I have the right to decline a commission if I cannot meet the deadline.Commission deliveries typically take 2 weeks, however larger projects such as Vtuber models can take up to 8 weeks - depending on my general workload.
Please specify if you'd like to keep the commission private. If a Non-Disclosure Agreement is requested, I will not reveal any WIPs on social media, nor will I be able to stream the commission. This includes remaining silent about the commission to anyone except peers that are trusted between the myself and the client.An NDA fee will be start from +50%, depending how complex the overall project will be.Progression will still be documented on Trello where screenshots, prices and client names will be shown.
Clients earn the rights to use my work for personal and commercial usage, although I hold the rights to every commission as it is my own work. Please inform me beforehand if the commission will be used for merchandise.I retain all rights to my illustrations and usage for samples and portfolio.The client will not be allowed to take credit for any work, remove watermarks, or alter the commission without my permission.
NO REFUNDS. Once both parties have discussed their commission terms, the art will no longer be refundable. For any reason that prevents me from delivering the work, a refund can be arranged.
Any enquiries can be discussed via Discord or Twitter DMs. Although WIPs will be sent via messages, progress can still be tracked through my Trello.

PART I: FAMILY
Raised in an loud and overprotective household, Channie became a troublesome teen, becoming a runaway to escape the dangers of her home. Despite being showered in affection by her mother, she was constantly ignored, neglected, and had nobody by her side. In acceptance of her future, she decided to become independent and protect herself - be her own guardian. From age 14, she emotionally distanced herself from her family and found it difficult to empathise or 'love' others. What was love? Is love supposed to hurt? Day-by-day, she would ponder if love entails emotional abuse, but deep down - she knew it didn't. This wasn't normal. She needed to leave.As the years went by, emotional abuse became physical. Her parents would not only scream obscenities at each other, but they would break items in the home. Studying at home as a senior was no longer possible as her destructive thoughts would race in her mind. This was no home. Her room become a jail cell, confining her within a box where she is forced to be alone with only her mind comforting her. In difficult times, the only person, or rather 'thing', that was there for her was her penguin plush - Snowball. Due to her home environment being stressful, she enjoyed school as she was able to bond with her friends and forget about her real life. She would liven up a room with her laughter and valued her friends over anything. For a long time, Channie wondered if this was love. If perhaps, these friends of hers will eventually treat her the same as her family does and whether she should trust them. Regardless, she knew she had no choice. Even if they do end up breaking her trust in the future - she was willing to keep them. They were her escape.

PART II: LOVE
At aged 18, Channie met her first partner through mutual friends. This 'love' was vastly different from her friends. She felt... closer. Closer than most of her friends. They bonded on their toxic home environments and would stay up all night on her phone just to talk to them. Although they both suffered the same fate - their circumstances were completely opposites. The two would skip school at times to spend time with one another as her family didn't allow her to leave the house, so she had to be secretive. Her partner was quite rebellious as they were raised in a nonchalant household. They didn't show affection, but they never argued. They were such chill parents that they no longer cared if they failed their classes, or left abruptly. Channie was slightly jealous, but nonetheless, still understood how difficult it must be to endure that. Despite the two bonding quite well, it wasn't long before their differences became more prominent.Channie was invited over to their partner's house. Completely unprepared, she was stressing the entire week as she had never gone over to a partner's house before. What if their parents don't like her? Although she was curious of how their home is like, she didn't know what to expect. For the most part, they would lie on her partner's bed and feel calm in their embrace. For once, she was comfortable with someone touching her. Channie would always be repulsed at the thought of physical affection as she was suffocated with it, although coming from a partner that is typically unaffectionate - it was special for her. She realised that her home isn't determined by the family you're born with, but the family you make. She was at home. Until..."Wait... What are you doing?"She felt a hot breath along her neck. Their hands trailed up and down her arm, almost to distract or comfort her. She was beginning to panic,"No... No!"A strong grip on her arms. Her heart spiked. Her chest was in pain again. She didn't know what to do. Do I trust them? Why are they doing this? They KNOW I don't want this... So why? She was confused. She was lost. She was betrayed. She was nothing more than a toy to them and she felt pathetic for trusting someone so easily.Channie nervously grips their hands whilst still holding her arms, desperately attempting to escape their grasp."I'm... sorry. I want us to be forever."They reveal their fangs.Her eyes widen. She was in disbelief. The person she knew for so long... was a vampire? All this time, did they just want to eat her?"Why... Why are you doing this, 【REDACTED】""You will become like me. We will live together forever. Nobody can take that away from us."With tears running down her face, she forces her eyes closed and clenches her teeth, gripping on their wrist tightly.Two sharp fangs pierce into her neck. A hot flush instantly rushed to the wound and she felt the warm blood drip down her neck. She slowly felt her life be drained from her and she didn't have the same amount of strength to defend herself. Her eyes were heavy.Darkness.Channie woke up. Eyes were still adjusting to the brightness and she noticed the absence in his bed. He was gone. She felt different. Her energy felt restored. Her fang wound had already healed, but the scar remained. Lifting herself from the bed, she quietly walked towards the bathroom and stepped in front of the mirror. Her hair was no longer jet black. Her eyes were filled with red, as if her blood was rushing towards her eyes. Her skin was significantly paler than usual and she looked void of any life. It wasn't a dream. This was real. Channie scouted the area in search of 【REDACTED】, but he was nowhere to be seen. This was her chance. She sprinted outside the door and rushed home. Her family was the only thing she had left. She hid her white hair with her jacket hoodie and replaced her glasses with sunglasses for concealment. Channie arrived home and entered the front door to yelling, as always. Nobody greeted her. Nobody noticed her existence and for once, it was a blessing. She snuck into her room and laid in bed, pondering on what to do next.Suddenly, Channie heard glass breaking, followed by screaming. She clutched her chest with her heart racing intensely. Her breathing was rapid and she was unable to translate their bickering as her thoughts became blurry. Stumbling towards her bedroom door, hers hands trembled as she attempted to twist the handle. What was going on? She slowly opened the door and was blasted by the voices of her family. Threats were thrown left and right and Channie could only focus on the floor, avoiding eye contact. She noticed the broken fragments of glass. The chips of wood from seemingly a door. As she lifts her head slowly, she notices the fist-shaped dent in her uncle's bedroom door, tainted with blood dripping from the hole.That was the last straw.Whilst her family were still arguing, she took the opportunity. She hurriedly shoved her belongings in her school backpack and double checked that everything was there. Snowball, her ID, any leftover cash, and her essentials. Channie grabbed her bag and left unnoticed. After that, her life was never the same.

PART III: HOME
Channie wandered for what seemed like aeons. Months passed and she was left alone with her thoughts once again. She wondered about her family. If her mother was safe. If they miss her. She wondered if her friends still remember her. If they're looking for her right now. She wondered about him. If all those memories meant the same to him as they did to her. It has been so long that she had lost track of time. Of space. Of anything.As time went on, she began to forget people. She chose to block out so much in her life as a coping mechanism that she begun to forget lovable memories too. She was losing purpose. Why was she still wandering? What am I really looking for?It was until she reached a frosty, cold environment. She had always wanted to see the snow, but from where she lives, it's impossible to experience it. With her current abilities, she never has to worry about being tired, or being killed by anybody. By her logic, she was immortal. She admired the land around her. How open it was and how bare of human life. It was peaceful. Lonely, but calm. Deciding to lay her back along the icy floor, she slowly closed her eyes and focuses on the soothing breeze. Staring blankly into the colourful streaks in the night sky, she heard some chirping nearby. Turning her head, she noticed a small, fluffy penguin searching for their colony. It seems they were lost from the crowd and needed help. The strong wind pushed the helpless penguin and Channie watched him stumble in the snow. She hurriedly arose and rushed to the penguin, slowly approaching it. It was shivering. She reached out her hand and laid her hand upon it to warm him, only realising that it had no effect as she was a vampire now. She desperately attempts to create friction with her hands to warm the penguin and her clothes were warm enough to suffice. The penguin looked up at her with weary eyes. Channie embraced the penguin.Soon after, there was a rumbling on the floor. The ice began to crack and Channie took the penguin further way to observe. Suddenly, the broken ice began to arise and terraformed floating islands above. The magical occurrence was confusing to her, but she approached the nearest island to be greeted with golden stepping stones that appear as you come closer. Did she do this? As she explored each island, she figured that she could live here. Perhaps, she could built upon each island and dedicate her new goal to help find the rest of the penguins. Or better yet - she could create a sanctuary of her own in which she could save penguins and look after them. This was her home. OUR home.

PART IV: CURRENT
With all the spare time she has now, she managed to find all of the penguins and built structures specifically for them. She looks after them every day and spends most of her time learning how to defend herself. Soon after, she began to master to art of fighting and ventured far to partake in spars. It wasn't long until she noticed her vampiric capabilities and used it as a way to protect, not only her, but others too. Channie attends spars, street fights, and in her spare time, she creates artworks to keep memories of her past. Recently, she has mastered the ability to bring life into artworks by infusing her blood, sweat and tears, which manifests them into reality. In addition to this, she streams her process in hopes of reuniting with her old friends, or by making new friends. In the end, Channie succeeded in creating a home for herself, as well as having a family to love.
